Flight Time - Vibe 500 E
I am wondering what you guys who are flying these are getting for flight time. Friend has his up in the air first time and seems like it is getting about 4 minutes.

Setup is this

TP Prolite 6S 2600
14 tooth pinion
Main Gear Stock (85 tooth)

Hover RPM 2700
Stunt RPM 3000

Have not downloaded data from ICE yet.

Any thoughts or improvements?

I was using 5S 3300 with 2800 rpm, Kora 15-14 motor, Jazz 55-6-18 ESC. 3D was 5min plus 1 min of mild aerobatics. But it was some time ago with older technologie batts. Much improvement on that lately. Be careful about weight. If you use an heavy ESC (ICE80 by example) and heavy motor (Scorpion by example) you will have trouble. Some weight could be saved from the time i was flying mine: I had a JR 770 gyro and a 72Mhz 146iP receiver. A spartan and a 2.4Ghz rx would remove at least 25g, maybe 30.

By the way, no need of 3000rpm for 3D. 2800 is enough. You are waysting power with 3000 rpm. Use lighter blades and you will have the extra agility you want.

I am running the same set up as dingo only 6s, 2500mah, 13 tooth, rpm at 2700 - 2800. My flight time is 5:30 putting back 1500 - 1600mah. weather is just starting to warm up so flight times may go up a little. Weight is a big part as dingo mentioned, my Vibe is lighter than my T-Rex due to electronicsHELI'S It's not a hobby, it's a curse!!!

500E set up
I am running a Scorpion HK3620 1000KV with an Align 100 ESC a 12 tooth pinion a BEC and Hyperion 2950 batteries. I am turning 2900 and I am getting 5:40 sec. on every pack with an 80% recharge. This thing is a beast. Curtis blades, stock tail blades and a Spartan gyro that holds like a rock.

extremely heavy motor/esc combo . Low efficiency motor compared to a Kora. And overkill ESC.

Weight difference is 76g. i.e. 2.68 Oz. It's huge on this heli size and on a heli that is already a little bit heavy. 76g is half of the weight of the Kora. Or almost the weight of 2 Jazz 55... Beside the Align ESC is far to be as good as the Jazz.

Kontronik will release the Koby line that will at end replace the Jazz series. Very close specs with a stonger Bec (3A). A little bit heavier. 10g on the 55. Bec is 3A continuous with 10A peak. Voltage is selectable from 5.6V to 8.0V. A computer module will make Software update possible.

I swapped out my ICE 100 (way overkill) for an ICE LITE 50A ESC. I average 13A with 50A bursts and the internal ESC temp stays in the 140F range. Using the E-flite motor and 6S 3200 MAH EVO LIte batteries I can sport fly for close to 7 mins.
