looking for a setup that will not use the gear channel to turn on the gov. I need that for retracts on a 222.

first off, how many speeds do you really need to be governed? On a scale ship, I'd guess 1 so you could simply duplicate your flight mode and set the S2 speed to < 1000 RPM which turns off the GV1.

Or use any other channel (non-gear) and use the SwPt setting on the GV1

I had looked at that setup but it talks about using the gear switch for the aux on/off. What other channel can I use to switch it so I can use the gear for the retract?

you're making this much more complex than need be.

you dont even need to connect the on/off lead.

just connect the speed select like you normally do. then go into normal mode on the tx and on the control box, go to the speed setting screen and input an rpm that is less than 1000. that will in fact turn the gv1 off for that mode (the gv1 will not govern a speed < 1000). then go into idle up mode and select whatever rpm you want.

You can also assign a switch,if you have the channels, and turn it on/off whenever you want in any flight mode.It can be turned on/off with the throttle stick,it can be turned on in a specific flight mode only or it can be done in the manner mentioned above.Very flexible GOVMAAC#77677 Medicated daily for your protection

OK it is still not workinq. Changed sensor and governor. Reprogrammed several times. Speeds are set in gov they change when flight modes are switched. gov will not take control of servo. as rpm increase gov will indicate rpm. At target rpm gov stops flashing at exact rpm it will even indicate rpl for lock. But it does not control the throttle. Continue to advance throttle and the rpm will increase to overspeed. Any ideas?
