When the fury 55 first came out I posted on here what a great kit it was both in design and quality of parts. The response of Specialty Device was..." its a MA version of the Trex600 with a belt drive" At that point I quit paying attention to what he has to say.

Please change the title of this thread
All of this BS back and forth has literally made this thread useless. It should be the "Lets complain about MA's new 55"

If you don't have any constructive comments or reviews about the Fury 55 go to another post please.

If you crash a new kit it is expected a couple parts may be hard to get. How long did take just to get the kits ready to go?

specialtydevice
everyone has them including the local hobby shop.
I noticed you're from Katonah, where is this local hobby shop that you're referring to?

I have not found any good hobby shops that carries popular nitro heli parts.

Also where do you fly?

Back on topic.

I pretty much built my entire kit in one night. Extremely smooth and easy build. the only issues I ran into were the t/r hub was extremely tight on the t/r shaft and took some doing to get it on, the smal bracket on the left side that holds the fan shroud needed the hole that slips over the frame screw elongated to fit over the head. I couldn't find my snap ring pliers so I had to use ball link pliers to get the dang snap rings on the head. Not too bad though.

As for Specialty Device's issue with overtightening the tail boom..... There is now way you coul not know you are crushing the boom. It would take a good bit of torque to crimp it. Same goes for the boom support clamp.
In God we trust, everyone else we monitor.
