BLS251 and GY520 doing something really Strange
in heading hold mode I can move the stick around just enough eventually I can get the servo to go into a flutter and it just start doing this high-speed flutter and vibrates the entire heli.
Tried messing with gain settings and no changes....Also while it does this the light on the GY520 is flickering violet color. If i give a little tug or input to the linkage it stops and the light goes red again indicating AVCS mode.
Anyone experience this before? Brand new set up. Never flown yet.

what heli? I bet you have trailing-edge control on your tail rotor.

Ok, here's what happened on my Knight 3D 50 size heli:

The bls251 has a jerky motion - it jumps from position to position, rather than moving in a more smooth manner like a 9256 or 9254. It also has a smaller range of motion, which forces you to use a longer servo arm, which amplifies this jerky motion. So, when the 251 moves, it snaps from it's present position to a new position, which causes the tail pitch slider to also snap to it's new position. This sends a vibration down the tailboom, through the mechanics, and is picked up by the gyro sensor, which then snaps the servo again and repeats the process. So the problem, really, is with the design of the 251, but that doesn't occur to me or you so you end up looking at half a dozen other dead ends trying to figure this thing out to no avail.

Solutions - some of these aren't good for performance but get rid of the oscillations:

switch to a different tail servo
shorter servo arm
lower gyro gain
possibly flip the tail rotor grips if possible
different gyro tape (this helped a little but didnt solve my problem)
change orientation of sensor so the wire going into the sensor doesn't make the vibrations worse
I got a fever! The only prescription is MORE 6HV
