X9503 Binding trouble
I'm trying to bind a X9503 to a R921 receiver.

I put the bind plug in the bind slot and power on the receiver. The lights on the Rx and the remote Rx are all flashing rapidly. I then press and hold the bind button on the TX, and turn it on.

I wait for all the lights to go solid, release the bind button, and unplug the bind plug.

I'm getting no response from the servos, and neither my GY601 or my GV1 are turning on.

What am I doing wrong?

Just tried that... It looks like the bind held if I turned the TX off first, and then the RX.

But, still no response from the servos or my GY601 and GV1.

Battery shows ~5.00Volts under a .5a load, so it's not the RX battery.

Tried model 2.

Still nothing.

This is most puzzling.

Do you have another RX to try binding it with?

Just trying to determine if it's the TX or RX

One of them is gonna end up going back to Horizon

Do the lights come on solid, just no response from the servos or you dont get solid lights?

I'd say unplug everything but one servo. You might have a Futaba connector backwards somewhere since they have the polarity tabs shaved.

I was able to get the throttle servo to work earlier, although I only had a servo plugged into the throttle channel. Although, I had to remove it to plug in the governor lead and I rebound the receiver.

It makes me think I'm doing something wrong here.

Unplug everything, start with 1 servo and connect everything one at a time and test, you will find the problem.

My money is on a reversed polarity connector to either the gyro or the governor. The servos dont care if they are plugged in backwards.

This is eerily similar to a problem that showed up on my living room coffee table while I was trying to watch hockey the other night (cough cough Frank cough)

So.... uhh...

Turns out all of my connectors were upside down.

I KNEW it was something stupid.

In my defense, I haven't hooked up a receiver in 2 1/2 years, and I had a friend over who I was going to show how to setup his helicopter electronically. So much for that

Thanks for all your help!
