Webra 91 P5Hi
Hi!

I got almost brand new Webra 91 P5Hi.
It has been in storage cause I haven't got it run at test bench.

Now I started again to try it and now I got it run about 15s.

The problem with that engine is that there are quite much bubbles in the fuel line from the regulator (Webra own reculator) to carb.
Sometimes the fuel line is full of fuel and suddenly there are lot of bubbles and the engine will stop.
The fuel line from the tank to regulator is all the time full of fuel.

I readed earlier topics that people have had lot of problems with this engine and also with the Webra regulator.

Has anyone have these same sympoms? What should I do with this engine? Is it worth to try to get it work or should it be better idea to by Zenoah, CY or ..................?

I would like to get it work and mayde someday to install it to my Raptor 90. But if it's bad idea, I'll consider next option.

Please give comments and ideas if there is change to get this engine run properly.

Thanks!

See my post near the bottom of the page here https://rc.runryder.com/t576871p1/ for my experience with nitro engines converted to run on petrol for use in helis.

I've also never heard of anyone NOT having problems with the Webra conversion engines although there must be someone that has had good luck with one somewhere...
XCell Spectra G
Radikal G20
Some obsolete nitro helis too...

Webra 91 P5Hi
I had many a sleepless night trying to get 2 of these engines to run in several airframes and gave up on them in the end just like Webra gave up on customers that had spent good money on this junk.

Search for Webra 91 on RR and see the horror stories about them.

Hope I sleep tonight after seeing that name again
I only like to fly gassed up

Hello Arthur.

Bin the regulator and run the motor without it. It will work fine without it, if you get it running. Years back I had both 90Hi and 150Hi on my Robbe machines and actually did get them to run properly. Even though I had plenty of problems I'm still on that petrol track but with the Zenoah engines. They're just so plain easy compared to the Webras. Webra ignition is a dog. It causes 99% of poor running.

I would be more than a bit worried of putting than motor into a R90 frame. Standard Raptor fan just isn't up to the task needed. Luckily our cold climate helps a lot though.

The huge Robbe alu fan generated blow enough to chill that beast. When motor gets too hot your needles come over sensitive and you end up having crappy running engine. All in all when the Webra run good it produced nice power for everyday flying.

Cheers
Jarno
