Most of my experience has been with Futaba 401 gyros, now Im going to try a 520. Was kind of hesitant at first but decided to try somthing new. Any different setup tips that any of you can offer me. Thanks.
Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.

The 520 is really simple to setup if you read the manual carefully.
My first try at it was very easy and sucessfull. Just pay attention on the blue, red light because they have meanings to them.
When initializing the gyro in the beginning make sure it twitches from left to right and sold Red color for AVAC (heading hold ),and blue for rate mode.( which is non heading hold.)
Futaba 520 gyro is awesome unit that replace the higher end futaba gyro like 502 and 611. Good Luck.

There are some vids on youtube you can watch.
One thing to watch is the limit setttings. Do what the manual says and to remove linkage from servo.
Then double check you don't have binding when it's all over with.
It is nice to have the USB setup but not absolutly manditory.
I did not even change any of the default settings that were available in the USB menu.
