Wow, sorry about the loss of that pretty heli. At least the crash was spectacular (although sad to watch). Look at the bright side, at least you managed to save the tailrotor and transmitter

Hope you get it back in the air soon and good luck in flight school.

I only crash due to random planetary intervention

Sorry I have been away so long and thank you Emile for keeping everyone updated on everything. As Emile said after graduation I had a long drive back to California and I have been very busy as my unit is headed to Iraq in a couple of months. I have worked on the Hawk and have her close to being ready to fly again. The fuse is all back together and just needs some cosmetic work. The mechanics are back and ready for flight as well.

I got a phone call today from Cliff at RC Aerodyne and he was nice enough to send me some parts to help with the rebuild. I made sure he knew that the crash was in no way any fault to anyone but myself. It was purely me flying in too much wind. I knew better but went against my better judgement so I could show a friend and ofcourse I was excited to fly my favorite heli. The mounting could have been made with steel and it still would have come apart after the hard touchdown. Its hard to see in the video but the hard touchdown set off a nasty resonance that took the aircraft down. Even though Cliff still wanted to send the parts to me and I couldn't be more thankfull. What a great company. Needless to say I will be doing more business with them. Anyway here are a few photos of the progress so far. I will have another video soon and it will have a happy ending this time I promise lol.

Looking good Dan...........
Can't wait for the next video, and it doesn't look like we'll have to wait too long.
Take care, Buddy!
