I am using a DX6I with an E-flite 30 amp esc.I have a dead spot on the bottom 3 spots (about 1/3 throttle)so i went into travel adjust and moved it down to about 78% til i got some throttle with just a slight push.A while later i reconnected and i had ZERO throttle in any position until i moved my travel adjust back up to 100%.I tried rebinding it with travel adjust set at 78% and it still would not work at all,so i moved the throttle adjust back to 100% and it works, but i will have the dead spot on the bottom. The esc instructions has 2 throttle input range (pwm) settings, default 1.2ms to 1.8ms and the other is 1.1ms to 1.9ms for radios that have a wider output range and should be used if there is a dead spot at the HIGH end of throttle.BTW this is in my eflite airplane and all other esc settings have been set.My Trex 450 is setup with this radio with no issues, but using a CC 35 esc on that.I hope i explained it clearly enough for someone to know what im talking about.Basically,my esc will not arm itself unless my throttle travel adjust is at 100%.I must be missing something, but since i tried soo many different ways i cant think of anything else but to come to the pros here at RR.

Switch over to your servo monitor screen and see if your throttle stick is acting OK, or has gone weird. The DX6i was the subject of an extensive recall quite awhile back for having been shipped with a batch of bad stick pots, causing erratic servo movement. Perhaps you have a bad pot in the throttle stick.

The monitor screen seems to be normal.I tried to eliminate the dead spot with subtrim,no luck there either.I also went back to travel adjust and set it at 78% for the low end.I connected battery and it would not arm,so iwent into travel ad. and slowly moved it back to 100% and exactly at 100 is where i hear the esc beep and arm itself.I think it is an esc (eflite) issue as my CC 35 works fine in my 450.
I'm gonna call Horizon.I don't favor the tech support although the product support is second to none.I never got any real solid tech answers from them, always seem to be solved by reading the forums except this one.

I called Horizon after trying everything suggested on several forums. He even had a setup there that he tried and got same results. He said Eflite has this safety feature that it should reconize at least 100% at both ends before arming. If my problem was that it was still running at adle, then it would be ok to make it like 120% to get it to stop, but since it is at the bottom i would have to make it less than 100% which will not work.It comes down to what "constant crash" said, live with it.Before each flight i could go into travel adjust and put it at 78%,but i don't see that happening.I willl justkeep this in mind when making another esc purchase and find one that has auto calibration.

Anybody want to buy an E-flite 30amp esc
