I have a 600ESP, standard align motor and ESC.
Currently running 6S, but need just a little more power.

Can I run a higher voltage? If so what 8S? Any one doing this, and what pinion?

I don't want to change the motor or ESC really since I only need a little boost!

thanks

6s is all you can run... you could try the new 600m motor if u have another kind... if u want to run 8s you gotta get different stuff

that's a shame.

now's not a good time to upgrade any gear, even adding FBL.

Because the 550 and 700 are coming out,
I don't want to upgrade my 500 incase it's a better deal to ditch it and go for a 550.
Plus it saves money to share lipos between machines.
So until I know fianl lipo size of 550 and 700e I don't want to upgrade my 600 lipos yet!!! arggg

I have seen some run 7s with good success. Use a 4s and 3s LiPo in series.

8s will burn out the ESC so don’t try it.

Trex 600 or Trex 700
I am planning on purchasing a Trex. Am leaning toward the 600 electric setup but am interested also in the Trex 700. Any opinions?

you could try 7s but if your putting more power into something not rated for it dont be surprised if your heli catches fire in the air or the electronics burn up and make you crash... its one of those things that someone might have success some may not, but are you going to put drag fuel in your car cause somebody else did it lol

well its based on your flow of cash lol...

i bought a 600 cause i could afford more batteries and its cheaper crash cost... 700 cost too much to convert right now with everything for me, once align comes out with the 700e it will sure be awesome

i would say though if you do get a 600 go for a higher voltage setup from the start so u can sell the esc and motor new and spend less on a new esc and motor

heli
8s is awesome. It cost me 20dollars more than a 6s setup and i get 7 minutes of sport flying and 5 minutes of hard 3d. Most of my flights last 5 minutes being I fly hard. The 8s setup peaks at 70 amps where the 6s setup peaks at 120. Less amps less heat =longer life.
