Can anybody tell me how successful they have been with removing the pump on a 91 sz please. I have heard that you can just remove the pump and connect straight onto the regulator.

Any help and comments on this would be a great help.

Thats exactly what we did.
The pump went out at a fun fly.
I connected a short piece of fuel tubing to the inlet and outlet of the pump.
Ran the fuel line directly to the carb. It ran so well that we left it that way.

Dude,
Yes I realize what I said. Let me even say it again.
Our pump went out at a FF. The engine started going lean.
I bypassed the pump by connecting the inlet and outlet tubes on the pump with a piece of fuel tubing.
I ran the line from the fuel tank directly to the regulator on the carburetor. It ran so well that we left it that way.

Oh I get it, your saying you ran a piece of tubing from the inlet to the outlet of the pump, therby blocking it off. what did you use for pressure?
