Time to convert to fbl. I am waiting for the CY total G system. Am I a fool for not just buying the Align 3G? I have just had too many problems with Align products in the past and have had no customer support. The only reason I want to wait for the CY system is the excellent customer support I have received in the past. So when can I buy it and am I wasting money because of past history? Any opinions?

If you have to choose, go with the Total G. Of course the VBAR is a great option also

Sorry but Mikado has been doing this for a long time therefore I'd go for the V-bar, I don't want to be a tester for new products with a + than 2000$ heli.

WOW! Good answers thanks

I think my point is that I want to go to FBL instead of buying another tail gyro for $100+ (I just destroyed my FUT 401 in a crash) then converting in 6-8 months anyway. I would rather just spend the money for a good system now, that I will still be flying in 5 years.

I know 5 years is a long time but I am still flying a Raptor v2 (not titan). It still can outfly me

The V-bar is exelent for sure. I however will not be purchasing another FBL unit till the Total G comes out. I think CY is onto something ther and I am stoked to try it out.

3G or Total G or Vbar? that will depend on you experience and what you feel comfortable with. the 3G is really easy to set up. the total G and the Vbar are a little more complicated.

The Total G is not out yet so know one knows yet how easy it will be to set up. Personally I can't wait for the Total G to come out.
I have flown the Vbar on several helis and it does work pretty good.
IMHO, I am confident that the Total G will prove itself almost immediatley to be the pilots choice.

V-Bar, easy set-up IMO, doesn't take long at all and the best system on the market + Great support!

Am waiting to see how this works. Not keen having everything in one box personally. There's also no separate sensor. Will the whole unit have to be mounted straight and level? I would have thought this is difficult on some frames.

Anyone know?

Cheers

Love this discussion, and V-bar seems to rule. I actually want to try the Total G when it comes out just because I have never been disappointed by anything CY. I will gladly pay to be the crash test dummy if I can get it anytime soon. If not I will listen to the guru's who are telling me V-bar. Any Curtis Youngblood people that can tell when I can get it? Thanks for all the opinions.

Total G
All I can say is I have seen both Nick Maxwell and Curtis Youngblood fly this total G and they are not the least bit concerned about bringing that 90 size heli within a couple of feet from them selves so it has to have some kind of reliablity. As far as set up who knows but I dont like the idea of having to buy a laptop just to set up my Heli. Just my $0.02

I ordered the Mikado V-Bar today for my Logo 500, after being totally pleased with friends helis I have set-up and flown with the Mikado V-Bar system.

Love the power and agility increase the most, plus being able to connect it to the laptop for quick set-up changes and firmware updates is perfect.

Can't wait for the logging firmware to come out too.

I have had a Probar, Vbar, and 3G. Vbar is by far the best performer and very easy to setup since the 4.0 was released. I will stay with VBAR and wish I didnt buy the 3g now. You will probably see it for sale here on RR soon! Haha!

The 3G looks like it flies very well and is becoming popular. Is the 3G and the Total G going to be about the same price?

Did the 3-axis ProBar ever come to market? What is the price?
