Awesome build been following it since day one. This is well worth a look. He has another build planned a huge C-130 down the road.

His target flying weight is under 100lbs (like 96) due to AMA limits.

What do you mean by "lifting bird". Its a scale project not some college weight lifting contest entry.

Dag isn't designing the B-36 to lift ANY weight. It's a scale project he's wanted to build for decades.

sorry, my bad,, I thought the B36 was designed as a Bomber, designed to carry many heavy Bombs that were heavy and weighed a lot, I guess the name (B36) and the really large wings set me off, I guess I was wrong

you aren't wrong about the full size B36.

The model that Dag is building is not a scale weight, nor is it designed to carry a scale load.

WOW huge is understatement. That has to take far more patience then I could have, a true labor of love there indeed!

Man that would make a nice crash, hopefully they have multiple cameras whenever that thing flies. I don't want to see a lock-out and dive straight in. I'd like to see some engine failures and some engine fires with multiple missed approaches, then finally a good crash and large fire.

Nice wishing someone that kind of luck. Well I wish you the same.

I don't want all his hard work to be wasted, I was just stating that if it happened to crash, then it would no doubt be a good one. There is no way you can disagree with my statement.

In fact you are worse than me because you wished I would crash my RC...

I took your post as you wrote it. "Man that would make a nice crash" So I'm supposed to read between the lines? If you don't want to see " all this hard work wasted" than why post that dribble? OK hows this If all your stuff crashes I hope you have it on tape so I can see it. Happy? Do you have any idea the amount of time and money Dag has put into this project? I as well as the many others who have followed his build hope it goes well and knowing how he builds I'm sure it will.

This is my last post in this thread, some people get a bit too emotional over silly things.

I hope all my future crashes are on tape so I can laugh about them later. I would never build an RC like Dag is because of the time and money involved in it. It is inevitable that it will eventually crash, just a matter of time.

I wish all RC crashes were taped. A crash video leaves behind a legacy that nothing can compare to. It would be an injustice to society if this magnificent bird went in and no one else was able to see it.

no it's not. I've flown many planes and then retired them without EVER crashing them.

DAG's plans are to fly it for a while and then donate it to a museum.

He's not going to fly it like a daily flier...

It might be at first, I doubt it'd continue.

I swear he's said in the thread somewhere that he's going to fly it for a bit and then donate it.

The thread is just too massive to search though haha.
