Has any one tried the new light weight HD helmet cams that are being used by the motor cross riders and mountain bike riders. They are light strong and cheap.

it is a fisheye lense
cmos (but its pretty good on a smooth heli)
basic auto focus ish
its ability to auto adjust lighting changes is not that great but it is pretty nice in good light
no live feed so you need a separate camera to see with or you can open it up and wire a downlink
I have one and do like it but only for weird car shots and messing around in general

I use contour HD - but only on a plank. I'm not sure that it will be useful on the heli as it is very susceptible to horizontal movement and this affects the quality of the video.

I also use contour HD on an easystar. I have to agree with Karbonbird regarding the horizontal movement however it's a perfect match for the foamie... I haven't tried it on a heli but it will be hard to get a good video i think...

How high does it fly? How fast? How far?..... Read the FAQ on my t-shirt and let me fly FGS!!!
