As you may have read earlier, had first flight with my 3G FLB 600.

See that 'FBL' blades are out.

What differences do they have - phsically, and what advantage will they 'give me' over standard blades?

"TBFBL600X : Torsion 'eXtreme Flybarless 600mm Carbon Main Blades
Designed and tested by top show pilot peter Novotny to give the optimal performance on any flybarless system which are suitable for both, beginners and 3D pilots. Ideal for the 3G T-Rex 600. "

Flying mild non-inverted, I am guessing I won't notice a difference!

Thats a long thread!
Let me summarise it.
Don't buy FBL blades unless you perhaps fly extreme 3d
otherwise you won't feel a difference.
The blades have only really started to appear since. Align released their 3g. Before this everyone happily used standard blades
