My trusty Neu 1107 2y from my 4s 450SE is due for a bearing so I thought of giving the 450m motor a try. I just wish Align would make a 10 and 11 tooth pinion for the 450m. I had to chuck a old brass Align pinion in a lathe to get it to fit the 3.5 mm shaft. You might ask why I didn't try another motor. I like the idea of a bigger bearing supporting the motor shaft. Time will tell if it lasts. I'm not complaining about the Neu motor though. It lasted 3yrs with no oiling till a few months ago.
Here's the Eagle Tree plot from today.
At 1.7m is an upright climb out.
The 787 watt peak is during some sloppy tick tocking
I cropped the graph so it starts after soft start on the ground 0 pitch at 3360 rpm. It was kinda scary
holding my planker tach over the rotor. I need to get the rpm expander for the logger.
Here's some particulars if anyone gives a flying
3360ish no bogging noted during flight. Thought rotor was going to depart airframe. Had to drop tt curve to 70% not ideal but I'll live.

11t drilled and reamed to 3.5mm ishI sure wish Align or some entrepreneurial person would make a 11t 3.5mm i.d. pinion....
I'd like a 10t but I don't think there would be enough meat on there to hold. How about it Align? Sell a pinion and an external bec(since the 35x esc bec can't handle 4s) in them little plastic cases. Call it the 4s super duper set..........
