Formula 1 needs some excitement, seeing Michael driving again might do it for a while,he used to be quite good at the demolition derby himself at times As a spectator motor sport i personally dont think much can compare with the "Rossi"Moto GP:

I just watched the race can you say "boring"? Wheres the action? Do they really need all those pit members? Its almost as bad as Indy car racing. Think I'll stick with Nascar. BTY I have all my teeth and a education. I just find Nascar entertaining. Another funny thing only one open wheel guy (Montoya) seems to be able to do well over in Nascar many keep coming to try though. Look how long it took him to figure it out. Just how do you explain that?

you can't become a redneck overnight my friend. And some of us will NEVER become one. Never said it wasn't entertaining to watch NASCAR ( a little like watching inbreed dog fighting) but I say again,,,,, ya can't call it "racing" admit it, it's just a higher form of figure eight demo derby. Anyone that can't watch a group of skilled, ethical race car drivers running state of the art platforms upwards of 19,000 rpm and using skill and strategy for passes to win a race without knocking the guy in front of you out and enjoy it prolly isn't really interested in racing,,,,i agree with you that NASCAR is entertainment (to some) but it's also not racing to most,,,JMHO

I love F1 but MotoGP and WSBK is more fun than anything out there...
As a spectator motor sport i personally dont think much can compare with the "Rossi"Moto GP:
As much as I hate Rossi, his pass on Lorenzo at Catalunya was one of the greatest ever, and who could ever forget the battle Haga and Spies had going on all last season.

First I'm not a "redneck". I'm a middle aged white educated and employed as a successful mid management position. State of the art machines(only the super rich can play) Inbreed dog fighting ( banned in the civilized world might be allowed in Europe I'm not sure) and your calling me a redneck? Well I guess I'd rather be a called a redneck than a European pussy that can't stand up and fight any war with out our help ( British excluded in that statement) Lets get into just how the average person can start a F1 team, Oh wait they can't due to the ridiculous amount of money involved. Give me a break I see you managed to avoid my statement about open wheel drivers including some in F1 trying to get rides in the Cup series. Also avoiding why but one has been successful at it( but its just so easy to drive a stock car).Watching F1 is about as much fun as watching grass grow a few passes here and there but nothing more anyone can go fast but wheres the side by side racing? The pit stops are a joke a guy for every tire and so on wheres the excitement of that? Than there's that grueling 19 race schedule spread over about the same time as Nascar's 36 race schedule. Just where do they find the energy?. If its not the premiere form of racing than what are they fighting to get in and with little success if I might add. Another interesting point is that F1 is so predictable in what manufacturer runs up front all the time. Wow 25 entries in a race that's almost as pitiful as he 19 car average in the Indy car series last year( another form of open wheel racing that fading i popularity). I supposes you feel about the same as far as the NHRA goes also. I guess in your racing educated racing mind that's not racing either.

top fuel is open wheel,,,I dig that. I grew up 70 miles from Indy,,,long races with no crashes at record breaking speeds (and yes LOTS of money) it's what racing is to me. It's the "spectacle" of racing that I enjoy,,not the "get outta my way or I'll run ya over" crapp. But The "Tony Hullman" Classic Sprint cars races on clay was always good entertainment also. I certainly don't have the money for it,,,but the elite few that do put on a helleva show. It's OK it ya don't like it,,,same as me not liking TRASHCAR.The Redneck comments are sorta coveted in NASCAR,,,are you sure your a fan cuz you seem upset at the reference,,,I guess there's a "bump draft" from you headed my way,it's supposed to be a fun conversation here,,don't get all serious on me now ,,,,I'll shake,,,you bake,,,
PS,,,, I guess that show "Madhouse " is REALLY your cup-o-tea ehh,,,good sportsmanship and values I want my kids to learn there fur sure

Honestly that whole redneck fan stuff is gone. The fan base appeals to the whole spectrum now. Fans now are educated people who actually have money to spend. You really don't have a clue about Nascar or its fans. Still your avoiding my question about open wheel guys wanting in on Nascar. Maybe because it hurts to much for you to admit its a coveted ride I understand now your from Ca. You guys can't even fill the stands for any race.

Maybe some open wheel series' drivers are looking for a 'coveted' NASCAR ride but not F1 drivers. I'm pretty sure the majority of F1 drivers look to sports car racing when they can't get an F1 ride. Other than Montoya, which F1 drivers have switched to NASCAR?

Heck, Kimi Raikkonen switched to WRC this year but that's probably because after making $51 million/year racing for Ferrari (that doesn't even including endorsement money) he doesn't need much more.

To say NASCAR racing doesn't require skill is naive, those drivers do have talent. Having said that, I think an F1 driver would have a better chance of doing well in NASCAR than a NASCAR driver would have at doing well in F1.

wow ,,your not letting this thing go are ya,,,,I musta really hurt your feelings with my comments on your favorite sporting event,,for that I apologize,,,and I did answer your question in an earlier post,,,but let me really water it down for you to understand. It's like taking a prized, world class boxer and putting him in a ring of street fighters,,,he may not do well because of the strict discipline he is used to in a regulated fight compared to "no holds barred" fighting. Or better yet "we have rules in the sandbox Johnny,,,you just can't kick sand in the faces of people you don't like",,,,,,so you'll have to "think" of a way to get what you want and not just bully your way thru,,,,clear as mud now? Peace

Nope just jerking your chain. You don't like it do you? So let me put it so you understand. You don't have a clue about racing or its fans. I just find it amazing how people like you make ridiculous assumptions about the rest of us. I have many interests racing is just one of them Care to discuss politics next? Peace, cool isn't that cute quick go hug a tree. The only peace is though superior firepower.

I once stood in Andredys front yard in Albuquerque New Mexico. His do-by fence had racing wheels built throughout the whole fence line.
Too bad that isn't the Andretti's place....It's actually Unser Jr's (Or was prior to his divorce, don't know who owns it now)

Was aquaintences with the Unsers for a number of years as their shop right right next to ours for a long long time...I even got to drive a few of his race cars around the parking lot!

Ask your Doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

Interesting post. Shows your childish intellect not to mention your perverted personality and its about what I expected from you. Please keep it up as long as your posting here your off the streets. Since I'm over 56 I already have tough skin and things don't get to me as much as when I was younger. Although I'm still having issues with dealing with morons on the net. Its own fault though I could just ignore you but I'm having way too much fun messing with your head.
