Maybe somebody can help out before I Ace Frehley this m#@!*# f#@!*# .

Ok , here's the deal . Heli was crashed a couple years ago and shoved in a box for a rainy day project . I put it back together and am having issues with the clutch bell rubbing the clutch . The washer is in place like the instructions say and the bell still rubs the clutch .

So I decide to shim the clutch bell to keep it from rubbing and now the start shaft is tight , it will turn but not as freely as it should . Any ideas ?

With the Raptor 50 fan, you don't need the washer on the engine output shaft. Remove it, and your rub should go away. Don't forget to un-shim your starter shaft.

Yes, you don't need to use it. Look at the bottom of the Raptor fan. It has the necessary clearance built in.
