what is the need to keep the mixing base and mixing arms on the flybarless system , isn't this just added rotating mass???

IF youre refering to the swash driver, its what keeps the phase in phase.

swash driver?
i believe align is still calling it a mixing base, above the swashplate where the mixing arms are. it doesn't aprear to me that it does anything.

it says , grease here, huh..... go figure...air is supa-neeto!!!!

ok i see
if the base is hard mounted on the main shaft, then it drives the swashplate. i get it now. i was assuming it free spun on the main shaft.

it says , grease here, huh..... go figure...air is supa-neeto!!!!

i was assuming it free spun on the main shaft.
Sometimes they do,but they don't fly for long that way.
