I have finished all but 12oz weight needed in the nose my lipo pack is way to light.

I have a question on tuning for flight I am using -4/+10 (intermediate settings in the raptor manual)for pitch but the OS Hyper 50 seems sluggish with a linear curve against those pitch ranges. I will end up at 9-9 1/4lbs after adding nose weight. I was thinking of bumping it up a bit to 0,30,50,65,80,90,100. 65% for midstick the Raptor manual calls for 50% midstick (0,30,50,75,100). Maybe I am crazy but seems to me my hyper 50 likes to run just above 50% throttle?

Am I on the right track with this thing or way off?

You're close. OS motors do tend to like the RPMs, just becareful that it doesn't go lean from being in the fuse.

If you skip me I can't play!

I'm no expert on this by a long shot but, I try to get the e motor speed in the 65-75% range with the added weight.... It just makes more sense to be in the upper power band with the extra weight.
Now if you want the scale rotor speed look and feel then your going to have to check your rotor speed and work around that....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Try to shoot for 1600 headspeed at least, it should fly well there. Unless you want it to be aerobatic!

Peak power on the OS50H is at 17k rpm, IIRC. With standard R50 gearing, that's 2000 headspeed. Unless you change to R30 gearing, I'd shoot for 1700+ headspeed if you want to keep the OS50H in it's powerband....

That I am sure would take care of it but I will just bump up my throttle a bit. And hope for the best I dont want the horizontal fin to snap off on a climbout.

Problem with finished TT ECUREUIL
thanks broggyr

I have a problem with the TT Ecureuil OS Hyper 50 MP5 pipe.

I am using a Dubro one way fuel filler valve on the outside of the heli. Problem is I cant see how much fuel I am putting in the tank and I end up pumping fuel into the muffler. With the pressure port on the stem of the MP5 I assume its either dripping into the engine or pulling it back into the cylinder causing it to hydrolock.

Can you guy's tell me what I am doing wrong or need to do. I bet this is one of those dumb questions from newbies like me. But for the life of me I could not find it in RR search.
