One end of the tailboom has two notches. Nothing is mentionned in the manual as to which side is the tailcase side and which side goes towards the mainframe (unless I missed it!). Can anyone tell me how to mount the boom correctly?

Also, there seems to be two possible positions for the belt tensionner on the tailcase. Which position should I use?

Thank you!

The Logo 600DX and Logo 500SE share the same boom IIRC. The 600DX has a plastic tail case that uses the notches. The 500 SE has a CF tail case that doe not need the notches so realistically you can install the boom either way and it will work fine.

As for the tensioner, do you have the single sided one or do you have one like this?

Thank you.

My tensionner is a single, fairly large bearing ( don't have the dimension right now, I'm at work...) with two little black spacers. My tailcase seems a bit different than the one pictured on the Ready Heli website for the Logo 500. There is an additionnal hole, like an alternate location to install the tensionner. I'll post pictures later tonight.

That is because that is a pic of my Logo 600 tail
No need to post a pic, that sound like the single tensioner setup. That goes in the rear hole directly over the pulley where the belt comes over the top..........Ron

Look at the two red arrows (top left) on this pic. There's two holes. If you look at part number mik3078 on the ready heli website, the carbon plate is slightly different. Maybe they updated this part?

Maybe but the tensioner goes in the rearward hole to keep the belt on the pulley, not to really "tension" the belt like mine does......Ron

I would position the boom to align the cutouts with the pulleys up front for extra clearance around the belt. Also make sure you push the boom in all the way and adjust belt at tail end. It's a pity mik did not go the larger boom od with the SE as the belt runs very close to the boom
And for any of you who want to upgrade to the larger 600 boom later on it's not only the spacers that are different everything from bearings, shaft, carbon is different so basically you only use the alum bracket and the slider with the grip assy.

Common sense may not be common after all
