Do I need to add the head shim for the DX blend.
I'm running the CY 20 with no added shim on the HZ 91 with OS 8 plug.

no
if anything you might need a thinner shim
Buzz usually is happy to talk on the phone about his fuel. I ran DS last year, but it was an older formula and I didn't care for it. I hear it's changed since, but in the mean time I've stocked up ALOT on nitro so I don't think I'll need fuel for 1-2yrs

I haven't used the Magnum fuels as of yet, but will be shortly. I also asked Buzz that same question when we spoke, as I was hearing discussions that shims would have to be added, etc. He informed me that the NEW blended DS fuel does not require any changes to the stock engine setup and that it performs just as well as the nitro 30%. Cleaner burning, less messy and less $$.

I'm anxious to have a chance to run it through my engines as soon as he gets back from Vegas.

I just got a case of the DS30 have to pick it up yet. Wanted to try some before buying a 55gal drum. And see how it is no one around here has used any that I know of. most are using CP or CY wildcat.

We will definitely be putting it to the test here in the ATL. I got 2 cases myself, couldn't resist the price!

I am very interested in the DS30, I have a few OS 50's and can see a 90 somewhere in the future, but I would like to hear how its working for you guys, so keep us informed! Please!
I spoke with Buzz on the phone a few weeks ago and only have a case of fuel left so i gotta pull the trigger and buy some soon, and that drum price is sooo tempting! I wonder how the shelf life is for it.

The life is not bad. just take out and jug up about 8-10gals at a time. the fewer times in the drum the better. Cool place low humidty helps when withdrawing fuel from drum.

That sounds good. That's what I would do with a drum is jug up several gallons at a time.

I have run about 10 gallons of the 30DS in my 91HZ with the stock shim with no issues. Runs great, I also use the OS8 plug.
