Oh yes, I'm the proud new owner of a Pro boat "Shockwave 55" deep V powered by a stage 2 Zenoah". She has a billet dual rudder and water cooling to the head (single inlet now but will except twin inlet & outlet, exhaust manifold has water cooling option(Not connected).
This boat was clocked at 50 MPH on radar, I know she's an ok platform (With a bitchen engine), but how can I make her better?

This is/was a serious boat built buy a old timer who knows his stuff about RC boats.

Where can I find mods for this boat? I want to stiffen the hull, and possibly move the gas tank in to the bow with a sealed fuel system?

Sorry I cant up load picks right now, but any ideas are always a help.

Thanks for your time.

PS
Dakine, Sorry but I just can't help but think of you each time I get a "New Toy".

""but how can I make her better""

I will guess you mean "faster",,

you can run it on Nitro, but it's Compression Ratio will determine the Percentage, or you could have the Engine suped-up more..

make sure to set up the trim plates to keep the nose down a bit, blew mine over a few times at 50+ mph. the top deck to hull bond is weak and has a tendency to separate. it should have a onboard water pump to keep cooling water pumping at idle when the clutch is not engaged.

fun boat though, there is a pic of mine in my gallery

I used to have several gas boats,2 cats,1 rigger, and a mono.I was always looking for more speed.Go to "Jims rc boat dock" a ton of info there just like this place is for helis.

I would get rid of the clutch and make it direct drive which means you toss the water pump. You don't need the water pump,i wont get into it here, but boats dont go fast when they are idling. You just use a water pick up.One more thing is to get a good prop, probably from ABCprops, tell him what you have and he will hook you up.Racers use an IV bag for fuel for best gas flow without air bubbles.

Thanks for the PM.

The boat dose not have a clutch or water pump. The dual rudder is made by Marine Specialties and the prop is some fancy brass deal. (The guy who gave me the boat says they cost around a hundred bucks?)

I'm trying to get picks up but my roommates computer wont recognize my phone.. I'll keep working on it and see what I can do.

Thanks for the help, I cant wait to see this beauty running out on the lake!

OK OK, Dakine I know you're no hater. I just like to use your line.

Lets see if this works...

Dual Rudder, H2o pick up and prop.

Stage 2 Zenoha

Man I hate this computer.. Friken keys are all small and in the wrong places.
