Heres the deal and I am about to go crazy. I have a stock 600 non esp with hitec servos a 401 and futaba tail servo stock align esc and the ar6100e rx. When i copy the setup that i use for my blade 400 and rex 450 the gyro wont initilize correctly. swash mix is -70 -75 +88 all servos norm except ail is reverse and when i plug in the battery the esc wont make the usual ready sounds. when i reversed the swash mix i had to reverse the servos and the gyro will initilize and the esc says its ready. I turned it up and was getting light on the skids when it spun like a top and i shredded both tail blades. I just need to know some setups for this any help would be a real help at thjis point.

When changing helicopter models and simply copying your setup from one to the other, there is a good probability that nothing will be set up correctly, unless you are using the exact same equipment in both helis.

All servos do NOT turn the same way for the same stick movement, direction actually depends upon the manufacturer (JR and Futaba, for instance, move opposite directions for the same stick movement).

Even more sinister is the fact that Positive Expo for JR/Spektrum systems desensitizes servo movement about neutral whereas Positive Expo in a Futaba system makes servos MORE sensitive around neutral.

That explains why you had to change/reverse quite a few settings, and most likely why you spun out of control when you tried to lift off.

Your best bet is to set up the new heli from scratch, making sure you have all servos, the gyro, and other functions moving the correct direction prior to lifting off.

Note that you said you had to reverse the tail. You also need to reverse the GYRO, as well. THAT is why you spun out of control.

Never attempt to lift off until you are sure all the stuff moves in the correct direction. If you don't know how to check it, get someone who DOES to check you out, or ask here.

One other thing that really worries me about your post is that you are using an AR6100E RX in a Trex 600. That receiver is NOT a full-range receiver and it does not have any additional satellite receivers to improve radio coverage and performance. That RX is NOT suitable for a 600-sized heli. The AR6200 should be your minimum RX configuration for that heli.

thanks for the advice i will look into it and see what I can figure out. I was just using this rx to get it going and then upgade it later as it is what I had on hand at the moment.

Gyro gain lead goes to RX channel 5.

Enable the Gyro Sense in the TX menu.

You can control the gain/mode using the Flight mode switch or the gyro switch, depending on which option you choose in the Gyro Sense Menu.

Whatever method you choose, make absolutely certain that you initialize the 401 in HH mode (red LED MUST be on SOLID after initialization). If it's blinking, you were in Normal/rate mode when you applied power, and the 401 won't be a happy camper.
