OK, so I know this isn't reall 'scale' modelling as it's pretty much all done for you but I thought I'd offer it up here for anyone who's interested
I was most surprised at how easy the installation went with the recommended mechanics it was only a couple of hours before I was out at the field test-flying the finished article!
I picked up the fus when I visited the model shop for something completely different - once it was out of the box I just couldn't resist it.
The only thing which I found fiddly was getting the tail control rod right but that only took some careful bending with some pliers and some careful measuring to make sure everything was smooth. I can't currently get the battery far enough forward to get an exact CofG but she still flies great as is - specially with the new flybarless head on
The lights will be going in for this weekend and some carbon plate to extend the battery tray as far as I can get it - after that I'll just be increasing the size of the batteries until I can get that perfect balance point.
