1.77 million jobs and 2.07 million jobs were created or saved by the stimulus through the fourth quarter of 2009.
LOL.

If they could PROVE that jobs were created, they wouldn't have "or saved" in any of their statements or reports.

The fact is, they can't prove ANYTHING so they toss out the "saved" BS as if that's supposed to comfort those who have lost jobs or can't find one.

keep trying, OCB...

helibeast,
It was created after Obama won the election.
wrong. the political/news threads were segregated from the regular off-topics threads because there were a substantial number of political related threads.

Ok this sub forum was never created, it was segregated???? You mean like the old south???
I just thought it was started because the masses couldn't stand the insanity of it all.
The first post on this forum was 11/05/2008 the day after the election.
I am getting sick going to the off topics and seeing pretty much nothing but political trash threads, you have a joke section for off topics, no reason not to have a political section either. Its getting out of hand. Thanks

As if you could PROVE that they weren't. The Politifact link provided information from numerous independent sources.

You've brought nothing to prove your point.

You have anything to disprove it other than your opinion??

You should keep trying, I've proved my point even if certain people are too stupid or stubborn to believe it.

the proof is in the pudding.

if they could prove that jobs were created, they wouldn't be saying "created or saved".

They would be talking about it non-stop if they had any proof of jobs created.

combined with the fact that their own numbers have a margin of 17% casts even more doubt on their claims of even saving that many jobs.

Stupidity can be cured. Ignorance is for life!

Hey, SSN, the line you are misquoting is:

"The proof of the pudding is in the eating"

It is those who grossly misunderstand the meaning of the phrase that always seem to forget the key words and go with the dummed down incorrect phrase "The proof is in the pudding"

Seriously, think it through, what does that even mean? "The proof is in the pudding" You're just slinging slogans you don't understand.

So in this case, OCB brought pudding, you can eat it up. You brought no pudding, so we ask, proove you have pudding. And you can't. Even though you say you have pudding you seem to have nothing to offer us to eat.

So, thanks for bringing it up, it makes OCB's point about how you keep coming back with nothing pretty obvious.

Wheres YOUR pudding?? You just keep repeating an opinion with nothing to back it up except for Kramers opinion and he's brought nothing to back that up.

They do talk about it quite a bit, you just refuse to hear it, just like you refuse to see the numbers right here in front of your face.

These are the same numbers and same margin of error from the same agencies that every administration contends with. You only choose not to believe them when they are unfavorable to your opinion.

National Unemployment Rates, 2008 - 2010

Jan. Feb. Mar. April May June July Aug. Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec.
2010 9.7 9.7
2009 7.6 8.1 8.5 8.9 9.4 9.5 9.4 9.7 9.8 10.2 10.0 10.0
2008 4.9 4.8 5.1 5.0 5.5 5.6 5.8 6.2 6.2 6.6 6.8 7.2

(Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics)
I dont see how they can say jobs have been saved or created. The unemployment rate has risen since BOH took office. If jobs were being "created" wouldn't the unemployment rate go down??

The only jobs being created are in the government sector. No jobs are being created in the private sector. The job losses in the private sector has slowed down.

As far as jobs being saved. Well, you can live in fantasy land with the libs. Or, its best to just ignore the loony left.

But the fact remains, if jobs were being created, the unemployment rate would go down which it clearly is not.

Jobs being saved is speculative as to WHO saved them. Was it a loyal employer that is sacrificing his profit for his Co and employee? Or were the saved simply because the GOV refuses to eliminate failed programs/..

No because jobs lost in one sector don't translate to jobs created in another sector.

Ok, so what your saying is: While one group is being laid off another is being hired. So there is really no change just a transfer to another job.. yet more people are unemployed than ever.

Once they get the unemployment rate back DOWN to the 4-5% range, I will then believe they have created and or saved jobs. Until then, its just BS.

The goverment has saved alot of jobs by bailing out the automakers, if they did not bail them out GM and some of the others would have closed alot more of its doors. So technically the goverment has saved jobs.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

OK, lets not PRETEND that the recession is an Obama issue because "IT STARTED BEFORE THE ELECTION"

It is VERY CLEAR who's at fault for the mess your in:

george w bush.

He blew all the cash chasing daddy's rival so the carlisle group could make more money while ignoring Osama Bin Laden who he blamed for the 9/11 attacks initially but then forgot about that.

4 billion in munitions a month for about 2 years....... but that didn't effect your economy did it..........??????

The problems WERE ALREADY IN MOTION before Obama was around. This WHOLE issue of the resession is NOT Obamas fault and if you think he isn't fixing it fast enough then just maybe that's because your too stupid to see how bad your poster boy bush ruined things for the average american citizen in the first place.

If your not in the top 2% of your population that benifits from republican policy, and you are a republican.... well, you are too stupid to be involved in the political process. Which is exactly why the real republicans want you there, because you will support the policies that work against you and you simply don't know the difference.

??

Say you worked for a bank the last 20 years. You and a bunch of others get laid off, jobs lost. At around the same time across town a new hospital gets finished and starts staffing, jobs created.
But the folks that lost at the bank aren't qualified to work at the hospital without retraining and are still counted as unemployed.

Write whatever tortured logic you like into it but that is how it works.

As do the people who are under employed or quit looking for work do not count on the jobs lost.

The dems have admitted to the fuzzy math in the created or saved thing. If some one got a $.05 raise it was counted as a job saved and they piled up all those numbers in to the jobs created figure, and lets not forget about all the jobs created in the districts that do not exsist that were included in those numbers

These are the same numbers and same margin of error from the same agencies that every administration contends with. You guys only want to point out these disparities when they don't apply to your side.

Typographical errors that have long since been reported and fixed. But you keep beating that dead horse and maybe it will gallop for you.
