That sounds great
Its a well needed thing as otherwise its a pain to install the gv-1 magnet in the fan, make sure its balanced, and make a mount for the sensor. Its a good whole night's work and I'm sure many will want to take the easy plug and play route.

Would the installation of the opposite pole magnet necessary or the stock CDI magnet suffice?

From what I understand it will be plug and fly. No other magnets or anything needed.

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

If you're not using a stator gator then yes you will need to install an opposite pole magnet as the ignition magnet cannot double as the gv-1 sensor magnet.

The purpose of the stator gator is to do away with fussing with magnets, it will be a plug and plug item. You would plug the stator gator in line from the engine sensor to the engine ignition and from that a servo lead would come out to be plugged into the gv-1 sensor port. The stock gv-1 sensor and supplied magnets will not be used.
