I was wondering what battery everyone is using. Is anyone using anything bigger than 2200mah? I have six blurr packs and they have been doing very good, but they are getting old and I need to replace them soon. It would be great if there was something a tad bigger to maybe get some more flight time in.

Thanks
Joe

I also use the blurr packs and the are the best I have found. I have used top end TP, FP and outrage packs also and they all lost power quickly.

This is a pack that might be worth considering. Notice the 5C charge rating.. oh, and notice the price!

Will be testing the 1800 4s 40c as the high C ratings can now keep up with the demand of bigger lipos with lower C ratings.

Blurr by far. The quality of construction is important. Unless you want to cut open everyone of your cheap chinese packs and resolder all the ballance connectors(everyone of mine broke at least one solder joint after 30 or so cycles). If you look at the blurr it has better balance wire and better lead wire and the contact points of both are properly covered by shrink wrap so there is no flex near the soldering joints. Oh yeah and the power is insane from start to finish.

I use the ThunderPower 45C 4S 2250 packs on my Rave. I charge them on a TP 1010C w/ Tp 210 bal. Usually charge them around 8 Amps, But can crank it up to 10. Usually takes about 10 Min. to put back 1600 to 1800 Mah.

Joe if you are going to be at the Tyler Tx. funfly this weekend look me up, and if you use a deans connector, or have a adaptor i'll let ya get a few flights on a 4S 45C pack..

Chuck,
I wish I could make the Tyler fun fly. We are having a big electric fun fly at out club that I am helping with.
Are you coming to the Austin fun fly in April. It would be cool to give the battery a try.
Thanks
Joe

Sure.. Scorpion -10, 14T pinion, Jazz 40 Amp esc, with a (Gasp!) CC 10 Amp Bec,DS285MG servos, Mini G w/ 3500G on the tail. 350 Radix mains,Radix tails, with the smaller NextD paddles.. Soon to be FBL tho.. I have the timer set for 4:30 min. Usually take out around 75% capacity. Charging with a TP 1010 at 10Amps.. takes about 10 or 11 Min to recharge.
