My stock servo on my 250SE pooped out. I think the gyro setting were wrong.

With the 290g, how far from center do I want to mount my linkage ball?

How much gain will this setup like? I think I was at 25% (Futaba radio) with the stock servo.

Is this a 1520us servo?

I would mount the ball 5mm from center...depending on what tail blades you are running you should be in the low 30's on the gain.
Most people have best luck with the 37mm tail blades...i prefer the 40mm k&B...

Yes, both the 420 and the 290 are 1520us...

Thanks for the input. What size bit do I use to drill a hole in my servo arm?

I'm running the same setup with the KBDD tails. The tail holds well, I use the larger heli setting, not sure about the gain.

But funnels and hurricanes just fine
