Back on Topic.

Hey turbo35

I have bought a Radikal HD.

I have high hopes for it. I have owned a Min air Gasser since 1997. I am building the Radikal stock.

To get the best performance you will have to match the gear ratio + blades + pipe + engine tuning.

There is alot of talk about "hot" "modified" motors. But i believe that at this present time the Radikal will not match the performance of a 50 nitro.

It wont be long though. My initial impression of the kit is that theres a lot of plastic but its chunky, strong plastic.

I am really looking forward to flying this thing.

If it ain't broke then break it.

I see you edited your post by the time I came back from flying. Good move.

Really was going to tell you, and still will, is that you should check your facts before you post things like that (which you changed now). You should call up the place that you supplied the link to and ask them who bought up their stock. You'll find that the place where I bought my aluminum insulator did not buy any blocks from your place.

There is alot of "hatred" going on here unfortunately and someone is feeding you misinformation about buying up all stock and a whole bunch of other things. I just want to fly and have fun. I wish we can all get along and enjoy this hobby.

Asid,

I would reserve your judgement till you get yours in the air. It can be damn close to a Nitro 50 if you build it up with performance in mind.

Hi Sparx

I didn't say anything about editing posts.

I always reserve judgment. I am looking forward to the Radikal. However at this point in time the performance is a little behind nitros. Not the same "pop".

I love gassers and have had one for about 13 years.

If it ain't broke then break it.

Little confused?

I made no reference to editing posts in my post directed at you? I was responding to this comment.......

Perhaps I should have quoted that in my other post.
I always reserve judgment. I am looking forward to the Radikal. However at this point in time the performance is a little behind nitros. Not the same "pop".
I'll quote it this time. I would agree with the "pop" thing because that is purely about weight. Will a Radikal ever get that same "pop", no because it weighs more than a typical Nitro 50 and is basically on the same disc area. Will it be damn close, I believe it will.

Hey Sparx.

Its cool

Maybe its me. Maybe im just not used to so much of an "atmosphere" in a forum.

Last time i felt there was a problem with atmosphere i was on my way to the moon.....

I have an open mind about the model.

I will be doing an unbiased review, warts and all.

I know im gonna love this heli.

You are welcome to see the page i have setup (w.i.p.)

I think if you buy it expecting a minigasser, you'll be happy. It fills a niche for those wanting to get into gassers and keep costs and size down. With good collective management, it can do some nice 3D in a more calm fashion.

But if you buy it expecting it will keep up with a 50 nitro, you won't be happy. It won't fly like a nitro 50. A nitro 50 flies like a nitro 50. Gasser guys have been saying "this gasser flies like this or that nitro" for a long time, way before the Radikal, and they are exaggerating quite a bit. Gassers fly like gassers, some better than others, but none are like a nitro. The weight and power are different, as is the disc loading.

I love gassers, but let's be realistic. You buy a gasser for decent flying abilities on lower cost and for something different in your fleet. You don't buy them to replace a nitro in your fleet.

Case in point, how many people said the Predator, or Spectra, flies like a nitro? Yes, they both fly well, but not like a 90.

I don't think that's possible in this hobby.. either folk are sponsored or they spent their own cash, have to believe it was worth it or get some hassles and a downer on the kit.. rarely impartial and would need several identical models to be a fair assessment.
Oh. and I've been waiting for a pun about the 'Asid Test'.. looks like it was up to me..

Hey PGkevet.

The "Asid Test" is coming. Great minds think alike . It was the only name we could choose.

The section was published on our site but we had a problem with the site and are rebuilding it.

as for an impartial review. I take your point. I will review as impartially/humanly possible.

Asid,

Century called me last nite, and told me to buy that kit back from you.. Ever since they found out you were going to do a review, they can't sleep, so I'm offering to buy it back now, ok?
