ok guys, i dont have the technical understanding of this great hobby like alot of you but i hope someone can help., i have a trex 450 sport with a DX6i remote... and its set up in mode one, being in Australia this is the standard. when i power up the heli my right stick increases the rpm but rather than changing the pitch it increases the elevator and the left stick rather than increaseing the elevator as it should it increases the pitch.... i have set the remote to mode one many time and i suspect that the plugs into my reciever and not in the right position.. but i can not get my head around how the plugs could be in the wrong position with only 3 servos which to me indicates this is not posible because there is no reverse... i hope you understand.. i am using a DX6i remote with a spectrumAR6100e reciever 2.4g. any ideas? im so close.. this is my first build and have flown before but this seems to head f*** me... what should i do? or does anymore no of a url where i can compare my set up to someone elses proven set up???? thnks guys and girls...

what do you mean by set it to mode 1? sounds like somebody tried to switch it from mode 2 to mode 1 and forgot to switch some wires

You have a lot to learn, the link above ought to take you a long way toward that goal.

Your receiver channels should be marked Ail, Elev, Thro, Rudd....so read the stuff in the link above, plug the three servos into the right ports on the RX, and put your TX in HELI mode, and go set the swash mix for CCPM 3-Servo 120-degrees. Enjoy.

I suspect your radio is setup for mode 2 not mode 1.

Mode 2 is: throttle, pitch and rudder on the left and aeleron and elevator on the right.

Can I make the suggestion that if you are just starting out, leave it as is and fly mode 2, the vast majority of people in Australia fly mode 2, so it will be alot easier.

thanks for your replies guys, i know my first post made me sound alittle retarded, turns out it was just the alierons and pitch were back to front and just took some reversing on my TX and a wire change on the reciever... but problem solved..
