Had a similar thing happen with my hawk a couple of weeks ago. The landing was a little harder than normal and the struts snapped. I am starting to think that the landing gear might be a replaced every year item like fuel lines.

Depleting the world of parts, one crash at a time!!

There seems to be two types of crashes-------- crashes due to mechanical failures and then crashes due to flying beyond your comfort level or skill level. It can run in cycles no matter how good your heli is sometimes, I haven't crashed in 3 months of flying every weekend, I'm in a good cycle right now. Kenny, who flies a TREX pro has crashed every single weekend for the last 3 months, he gets pissed at me He says--- you fly a peice of Sh*t and you ain't crashing I just tell him I'm in a good cycle right now
Half of his crashes are him trying to push the envelope too much- too soon and the other half are from not completely going thru the heli 100 percent after a previous crash so he misses the little things that can bring a heli down, but its all part of the learning process.

Bring it on You Big Smelly Heli-Gods
Just set a big trash can out or maybe a dumpster.
And for Heli God Sakes!, keep a camera on your heli for the next 3 months.

I have a new nick name for your heli with the sound it makes that's so mean sounding.
The MEAT GRINDER.

I think there are actually 3.
You overlooked the "chit happens" crash.
It's one of those that you never really find a cause for, it just 'happened'. One of those days when the heli gods simply smote you down from the skies.
