Well with the Radikal G20 coming out and the new Century T-1000 I think is the new 90 size gasser coming out....is there any buzz of any other 50 size or larger gasser coming out?

If there are any other 50 size Gassers coming out, they have one heck of a challenge to surpass what the Radikal is. Century set the bar in this area and IMHO they have set it VERY HIGH!

I've not heard anything about a New 90 size Century gasser (T-1000).

Where'd you see that? Have any links to peruse?

Heh thanks!

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but all that video said was it's a prototype and it's called the T-1000.

The video spent a couple minutes talking about fuselages and then the camera whizzed by the T-1000 so fast that I practically hurt my neck looking at it. LOL

Anyone know anything more about it? How'd we know it was a 90 size? If it's a 90 sized gasser, what does it offer over the Predator? I did see a rear tank.

Very High lol, so if another manufacturer came up with a 50 size and included metal parts instead of plastic and made it better value for money that would be rated as invincible then surely

I only like to fly gassed up

Ooh.. now you don't mean stick the century power train and a 20ei into a 600N chassis with a 700 boom and fly it on 650 blades do you

..or what were you doing this w/e?

If you think metal is a requirement for "quality", I guess so. But I do not feel that way. There is nothing wrong with plastic in the right places.

The reason that Radikal is so good IMO has nothing to do with the material it is made of. The design is what I regard as important.

If you want to make the Radikal better, convince Century to supply a better auto hub with the helicopter. The plastic cage one is just not cutting it, waiting for the 2nd replacement now with less than 50 flights on the model.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he hit the nail on the head. I like to auto and he said I put in like 10 autos a flight and it just doesn't last due to the autos turning rollers housed in plastic.

I already tried to relay this to Robert a couple of times and left messages for Paul to call me back but have had no success with that. Maybe they are busy making more kits. Every new model has its teething problems, I hope they address these soon so I can start to really enjoy the model.

I haven't had any issues with my auto hub. I have 2+ gallons thru it now. Works as good as the day I installed it.

How are you setting your mesh?

I'm not sure you will be able to beat the Radikal. It is one sweet bird.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I have nothing negative to say about the Radical. Its well engineered with high quality parts. I got my Zenoah 21 hyper back from Wally last week (updated gaskets) and pleased to say that this is one awsome combination!!! With this engine, I'm running the 6.0 ratio and power to spare.

The best money I spend on the whole deal was the modified high performance hyper 21 engine. I'm sending my 23 to Wally for modification as well. I am seriously pleased and thinking of making changes to my fleet!

On the fence! Radikal
I really appreciate everyones comments on the Radikal and any GASSER heli that is about to hit the market or on the market now. With any new product there is going to be teething issues. One thing or the other that got overlooked in proto or testing. The only true test is the consumer testing. I'm about to pull the trigger for the Radikal but still doing my homework. From the reviews from the current Radikal owners...everything is positive. The only mix review is what motor to use. Motor selection to me would only be based on user preferance. Would a relatively new guy transitioning from lets say a 500 size electric know the differance between a stock Zenoah G20, Wally or Hanson motor? These to me are basic questions that someone wanting to make the transition from electric to gasser would might be considering. Just some random thoughts going through my head. Thanks!
