I have read that the cold temps affect the lipo batteries. Well it was only in the 60's today and did I see a difference and so did my friend. He was flying a plane and I had my Blade 400. My power was definitely down as was his. My batteries drained faster as well.

you call that cold?

smaller packs do get affected by the cold. wrap them up in some sort of insulation. larger packs, like 6s 5000, can handle cold temps better.

You forget, I am in Arizona. It was chilly, but not entirely cold. Either way, I did notice a degradation in performance.

Yes there is a big difference I noticed as well. My friend and I really picked up on this when flying in sub zero temps when we put in the vechile to warm up the packs we could not belive the diffence once warmed up. It was huge to say the least.

yes I have flown at below -20C. my 6s packs are not affected. my friends do warm them up for better performance. smaller packs such as 2s 2200, 3s 900, etc. I wrap them up.
