I have an Align 500 I'm doing a build on.
The 2mm x6mm screw that goes into the tail hub snapped on me. screw is burried in the tail rotor hub. Can't get it out without damaging hub. It was loctited pretty hard and I did not even turn it that much before it snapped. I contated the seller on ebay and am awaiting a response but if he tries to stiff me, is the plastic hub/grip assembly compatible with the all metal ESP assembly?

http://www.helidirect.com/align-tai...-500-p-5565.hdx

All I need is the middle hub portion.

I already have 2mm x 6mm stainless screws to replace the weak ones.

thx

Why is the seller involved?

The screw was Locktited in.That's the proper way to install it.
You need to use a pencil type soldering iron to loosen the Locktite to remove it.

I literally never use the word literally right.

I was actually thinking the same thing, but decided not to say anything.

The cheaper version with the plastic grips has the same hub as the metal version so this one worked for me.

BTW, I could tell it was loctited but I wanted to take it out since I'd already slightly loosened it. It moved enough to tell it was loctited then snapped. I was suprised it snapped AFTER the loosening. Maybe the loosening was actually snapping it, hard to tell, but still suprised it snapped.

Yea, I know the soldering iron trick but was still suprised.

At least when something similar happened to one of my clones, I've gotten the parts replaced. I was suprised the Align Dealer shrugged me off.
