I was out trimming my heli and I was using old nitro fuel that has been sitting (it is an opened bottle) for 1 to 1-1/2 years and has changed color slightly (darker pink) I know it is not the best but it is what I had so I just tuned my engine a little and it ran ok for a while (I was out the other day with same fuel and no problems either) then it started to get a weird vibration in the boom support rods and tail area and the engins was way rich spitting out fuel like crazy, when I got home and was cleaning it and checking it over to see what the h@ll went bad I noticed I could move the muffler a bit it was loose but not so loose that you could tell from looking at it and when I went to tighten the screws they were just tighter than finger tight. Would the muffler being loose cause this type of vibration or should I look somewhere else? The support rods where moving back and forth like a guitar string. I have flew the heli last week and other than the tail kicking from the engine not running perfect from the bad gas it was just fine and balanced and then I reset the linkage this week and that is all so I dont think it could be out of balance out of nowhere and I didnt even mess with the tail so I dont know why it would be out of ballance either. So muffler orsomething else I should look for.(besides new fuel)
