I had a chance to measure the weight of a few helis at home with a new digital scale (I had it out to weigh my son's pinewood derby car) and was a little suprised.
None of the measurements were done with Batteries installed. All helicopters have metal head/tails.
Each had different blades so that will scew results by +/- 10g.
Align 450 Pro 708g
EXI 450 Pro 712g
EXI 450 SE CF 636g
EXI 450 Blueray (GF frames) 655g
I may take one to work to see if my measurements are off, maybe my scale is not accurate, but NO WAY that pro is going to be 780g flying weight like the Heli direct website says. The Pro is my buddies and the only thing added that did not come with the kit was the blades (He crashed the first set) and the Rx (Futaba FAAST). I was also suprised the EXI was that light, I was expecting a difference alot closer. Torque tube add that much more weight? I was thinking the Pro frames were less weight for some reason.
I expect a 2200mAh 3S to be around 170g or more.
Anyone weigh their SEv2 or Pro with or without batteries?
