Looking for a new rotor head 4 blades EC135 turbine
Hello,

I have at the moment a Vario 4 blade head on my turbine EC135 168cm 2 bolt blades.

As the Vario hub isn't made of metal i would like to get suggestions for a new head and blades. The vario head looks quit weak and I don't feel comfortable to fly fast with this machine.

Look forward to get suggestions from other flyers.

Thanks

Ed

When it comes to rotor heads, I am an OF guy for most applications. Depending on which mechanics you are running; Petrol or extream, you would need 10mm and for the Turbine a 12mm. OF heads are one of the best flying rotorheads on the market and the hub is metal.

I received two offers one from helifactory and one from Helicoptertechnik.de. Both advice to use the metal M-blades.

The rotor head differs form 600-900 euro quit a lot of money for only the head.

I will go next weekend to Rotor Live in germany to see some different heads.

Richard what kind of mechanics you will build in?

on my Nitro EC135, i was gonna use the Century metal 4 bladed head.

i am unsure if it only a head for a 10mm shaft. but after a lot of testing i know this head can take alot..

On my predator turbine i am swinging 850 tapered blades at 1500rpm on the 2 bladed version, whch is well within its limits.

Could you provide a link to these two heads you have shown, I would like to get more information. Many of these inovative heads and other parts are not seen here in the US very often..... Thanks

i know it could be a dome ? but in a 450 class heli with a 4 blade head you need a v-bar ,or 3g (FBL) sistem to fly it.Beam E4(md-500e),Gaui 200,T-Rex 500,E-flight MCX.

The M-copter head can be found here only in German.

http://www.m-copter.com/produkte.htm#m2000

The head of Swing van be found here but there is not a lot of information.

http://helicoptertechnik.de/html/download.html

I ordered the head of Swing.

Also helifactory is supplying a nice head but they will look good on the big shipps above 2M rotor
