sensitive tail
Hi There

I have a JR490T Tail lock Gyro (i think its called the JR500T in the USA).

My tail is over sensitive. I just have to give slight input on my rudder stick and it swings wayyy too fast, both ways. Can someone please tell me how to reduce this. IT is waaayyy too sensitive and I am trying to learn how to fix things on my own now and not have anyone setup my helis.

The tail holds fine on hovers and throttle input, not rock solid but good enough. Can someone please explain how to fix this. There is a pot on the gyro for servo travel limit. I know its meant to control the travel limit of the servo but will it help if I adjust this?

Not into 3D, just love cruising around in scale bodies right now.

Regards

Sounds like your limits are too close to center and your ETA is set too high on rudder thus the gyro wants to travel that short of distance in that short of time, with that stick input.Full Throttle Spooning Leads To Forking

You can try a couple of things
Lower your end points on your RUDDER channel, like today I tried a newly setup Trex 500E today and it was set for 100% both directions on rudder in the radio when I set up the gyro so I lowered them to 75% endpoint ammounts both directions and then I add expo till I liked how it felt around center and now have a nice progressive tail response to my stick input on the rudder.
Oh No Someone Please Stop Me Before I Go Broke With This Heli Thing!!
