Question on weight - 50 size
I did some searching and could not find good matches....

I just completed a 50 size airwolf with TREX600E mechanics. I was a little shocked to find it's weight with flight and RX batteries tipping the scales at ~11 lbs.....Is that a "normal" weight for 50 size scale birds? IIRC, the pod and boom version of the 600E is about 7 to 7.5 lbs....

Yes your in the proper range .. with the weight of the fuselage, Landing gear and paint it starts to add up quickly. I think you will find that it flys better but, make sure to plan your flight a little ahead of yourself because it won't be as spunky as the Pod and Boom. From Simple minds come simple ideas!
