Quick Vbar Tail servo question
with vbar do i need to use a step down for the tail servo using a BLS 251 tail servo and the Align reg

the align reg puts out 6V right?

BLS 251 rated for 4.8 im using an ar7000 rec

the tail output on the ar7000 has a built in step down correct?

so if thats right and the vbar draws tail power from the tail input there shouldn't be a problem but if it draws its power from one of the other ports then ill have a problem

No, it puts out 5.8v

No, the AR7000 does not have a built in step-down.

On a 5.8v system you need a stepdown. And FYI the voltage output of a Vbar is equal to its input on ALL servos. THats why most of us with the 7100rx and vbar are making a jumper cable to supply power to the tail servo.

Since you are using the 7000rx you do not have a built in reg and must step down the voltage between VBar and servo.

BLS 251 is FINE with 6Volts as long as it is regulated. So if your output is consitent at 5.8 volts you are perfectly fine with that. ...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

It is really easy to make the jumper line to use the powered stepdown out of the receiver.Team Sanjel!

If you are using 2 in 1 to power whole system then you will be ok no matter how you hook up . If you go to alternate power source then you will need to wire accordingly. Ive ran bls 251 on 8V for about 3 weeks total of 30 or 40 flights before I realized voltage and it is still working fine , don't do it I'm just giving my caveman testing experiences

7100 or 7100R ????????
I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)
