x9303 wire chafing problem fix?
I just got around to looking inside of my radio to see if there was a problem and there was only a slight mark on the wire (I havent flown much since I got it), anyway I found this simple fix http://www.jrradios.com/Articles/Ar...?ArticleID=1822
and did it to my radio and was wondering if anyone has used this method and if it works and is a good fix?

That is the way I did mine. It seemed more logical to me than the original repair recommendation.

Let's see. This is posted on the JR website as the recommended fix, and there was a service bulletin issued by JR to have the Horizon Service Center make the mod...I think a TON of people have that fix installed, since it's the factory recommended way.

I had mine done by Horizon, when it came back, the stick was a bit stiff. I opened the TX and found that in their repair action, they failed to leave any service loop for the re-routed wire and it was interfering with total stick travel.

I got hold of some 26 gauge teflon insulated wire and rewired the entire pigtail, leaving a good service loop to free up the stick movement.

Ya but I have read about a few that said it would still rub on the gimbal and wear out in a different spot and I was wondering if after all this time has anybody had an issue with it yet or is it a solid fix? The mod on yours is a completely different wire path and I know alot of people did it that way but the way they say now is a way easier fix, just wondering if it is a solid fix.

Bottom line is to just get the wire out of the way of the regulator and get enough service loop to let the stick move freely.-----
