Nice flight Leon. Nice to see the 3G doing some pirouetteing maneuvers.

What is your set up? I'm curious about your servos and settings in your radio.

Thanks for posting.

setup
I'm using 610 on cyclic and 650 on tail. AR6100R, Align gov, Lipo. Pitch is 12 and cyclics are 12.

new setup

I have been hearing some comment about some flyers experiencing some elevator oscillation issues. I for one have not had any issues with the 3G or 690Ds that are out of the ordinary. Even my flyabarred helis can be made to oscillate if I wanted it to. If I slam the collective while jamming the elevator, my flybarred heli will oscillate as well.

Today, I tried a set of the Edge 693 blades just to see what a heavier set of blades would do. The blades have a cg that is about 1 inch closer to the tip of the blade and are about 10 grams heavier than the 690D. The blades had identical cg positions and are well balanced The blades are very stable and great for autos. To compensate for the extra weight, I increased the cyclic deflections to 14 degrees and left the collective at 12. The machine is very stable yet has very good cyclic rates! The heli flies very much like a flybarred heli with these blades. The 3G gyro corrections are very smooth with the heavier blades and feel no artificial or unexpected movements.

I saw your elevator oscillations one day (are they become smaller/better with Edge blades?). I suppose your heli's CG is not moving (maybe a little bit, because of the fuel) during the flight, so I do not see the reason why it is normal for heli to oscillate on stops even a little bit.

Mine FBLs (not a 3G) are not doing that at all And I can stop my helis as hard as I want/can

Clarification
As stated earlier in the post I have not had issues with the oscillations with my setup with either the 690ds or edge blades. I made reference to some comments by pilots using other blades that experienced problems. I was testing other blades to see if oscillations were present. Talk about taking things out of context.

I talked to Leon Luke (great distributor? see the link) last weekend. It was a short talk, nothing omitted:

Me: 'Did you solve the wobble? Does Edge blades help?'
Leon: 'Edge blades helps but does not remove oscillation completely.'
Me: 'Sometimes heli can oscillate like that when head is too stiff. Softer dampeners could help.'
Leon: 'Align does lots of testing with different blades and head settings to solve that problem.'

So, that was short talk. No 'out of context'. Basically Leon's last sentence confirmed that Align knows about the problem and it is there. BTW, I saw how Leon's T700N oscillates with my own eyes.

Maybe you need to review , "How to set up heli's 101" Instead of bashing some person all over the web because you have a problem with him and feel like the rest of the world cares! You should spend more time on the sim where time is needed,
You really seem to have a lot of issues with the fact that fellow flyer's seem to be able to toss their 3g's around pretty darn good. Seems to me that Mikado as well as other make's have had their fair share of issues. So, give companies a chance! Remember that in reality, if it were not for Align, and Thunder Tiger, this hobby would be no where near as advanced as where it is today! They changed the market!
