I have thought about waxing my canopies. Did not know if the fuel would just remove it. Have never heard about blades though.

I have read somewhere that Chris Hinson, the guy behind ExtremeFlightRC - is using auto wax to polish and shine his airplanes. That gives them this glossy surface like on a car on an auto show display.. Besides that, I could not see any other reason to do that on planes or heli.

^^^^^WTF is up with this?^^^^

I used to use Rain-X on my nitro airplanes because it made the oil easier to remove, and I thought maybe it made it a little bit more aerodynamic. I have heard that with a full sized aircraft (like a Piper Cherokee), you'll pick up an extra 5kts after you wax the airframe. Not sure the same holds true for rotor blades.

Waxed blades would allow you to easily wipe off dried splatered bugs.

Well I was just thinking of it allowing to cut through the air smoother and possibly faster.

I was going to say something, but may start to get offensive if we continue this talk. On a serious note, I am guessing that no one waxes them.
