Maxi Joker gearing confusion...? help.
hey guys,

Recently I obtain a Maxi Joker (I do believe it's the version 1, since it have the Actro airplane mount?)

Here's the set up.

Actro 32-4 (20t pinion)
Jazz 55-10-32
810mm (I assume so, or maybe longer)
Elevated tail

Got it ready and went out to test it the yesterday, I was told it was gear for 10s. When I spool it up after a couple of time I end up at 100% throttle curve and oh my. I know that the headspeed is suppose to be low, 1000rpm or so. But this doesn't sound or look like 1000, more like the real Chopper, maybe 500rpm. It was to slow to even track the blades.

So I count the gear this morning, main gear is 58t, second stage is 54t. Pinion is 14toth and the one on the motor is 20T.

What I am missing?

I know it's not the battery issue, since I had the eagle tree on there is pack voltage underload is about 38volts.
If i got $, I will run my T-rex on 10s lithium.

final gear ratio calculates to 11.18:1
motor kv = 415
so that works to 1650 head rpm excluding losses
so with loses should get at least 1300rpm at 100% throttle.

Did you program the jazz correctley ? and did you double check the throttle output is actually going to 100% and not some weird mix somewhere?

this is the first time I have to pull my hair like this.... never had this problem before. I did the gear calculation as well... it should be 1300.

I reprogram the Jazz to HELI mode lastnight, pretty sure it on heli mode.

Spool it up just now and measure the headspeed, a stunning 200RPM, 200RPM, I am surprise this thing actually hoover..

What in the hell, I set the curve at 100% and hit the switch, by hearing the Jazz spool up, I do believe it spool to it full speed.

Im so confused...

I have 3-4 Jazz 55, no idea what's going on with this one.
If i got $, I will run my T-rex on 10s lithium.

200.. dang.. that like nothing

make sure the pinions not slipping on shafts... only other option is to stick eagle tree brushless motor sensor on, then at least you will know if motor spinds to correct speed

just sound like something slipping somwhere

I got an idea, done the mistake myself before:
Is your tach programmed to two-blade propellor? if you have it in 4 or 5 blade setting, it of course will read less rpm.

otherwise, i would reset jazz completly, see if your throttle in TX is right...

Im such a idiot guys.

The headspeed is truely high, 1400rpm.

No it wasn't the am/pm, or the snooze. I forgot with the tach I am using you need to multiply by 10.

Anyway, everything turn out good, got it flying, working on the camera mount right now.

Thanks guys.
If i got $, I will run my T-rex on 10s lithium.
