Safe,,,or not safe,,,you judge!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_0q...player_embedded

I'll just point out that at 2:25 of this video,,a kid is walking towards the pilot,,,the pilot flies the heli towards the kid, over his head, attempts to do a flip and loses control of his heli. Am I seeing things,,or could this have been a disaster?

Well ,,I'll clarify further,,up to this point,,this pilot cannot fly FFF or nose-in. Only tail-in hovers and power punches.Randy

I get the feeling someone doesn't like someone very much...

As far as the vid, my personal belief is you shouldn't do the fancy stuff until you can do the basics. The proximity of the street and the kid passing through is troubling.

Thats my point,,,the pilot posted the video and bragged on it. Seems like most people are giving him a pass,,which I don't understand.

https://rc.runryder.com/t572639p1/

Even when confronted about the kid,,he denies it,,even thou it is clear in the video. This guy is dangerous. The video speaks for itself,,,why do I have to point out danger in it?

well, with any luck, when he does finally injure someone, the massive pile of "dud wtf that's not safe" posts will come in handy to help throw the book at him and it wont happen again.AMA 700159

The way I saw it he took the helicopter to a higher altitude when the person walked up to him, if he even saw him, plus it looked like he was in the middle of doing a roll. So if you are to blame anyone for something that might have been dangerous it would be his spotter for not letting him know that someone was walking up. But this is all an assumption on my part based on what I saw. Since neither you or I was there, we really do not know what happened and if the heli was even close to the person walking up.

Don't worry, just go fly.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

IMO, that field isn't big enough to do anything other than groundwork, unless you're a pretty skilled pilot, which (no offense), he's not there yet. Good ground work in all orientations is the basis of being a skilled pilot. What's the rush to do flips, etc., when you can't hover nose in or even do FF circuits??? Just the way I was taught I guess.
