Good reference Michael.

The history books are written by the Victors.

Crediting Germany for just about anything from that period of time is all but unheard of. It seems it's very unNorthAmerican (Canada is just as guilty of this), to credit many of the technological advancements made during that obvious time period to anyone from that part of Europe.
