450 pro fbl head for v-bar ??
I'm using a Gaui head and don't really like it. The grips bolt straight to the main hub and I think it's a little too stiff for my liking. I want to try another head that use dampeners. I'm narrowed down to either the RJX, Outrage or Mikado 450 fbl head. Any suggestions?

the new Mikado head is NOT a Gaui head just so you know . It looks extremely similar but entirely different, it has a spindle, dampers and all and flies VERY well, I have it currently on my Pro. So far I tried the MicroHeli one, the RJX conversion one and now the Mikado one and it is my favourite for sure....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I have also tried the Rave head on my 450 Pro equipped with a Mini V-Bar (I know...I'm not supposed to fly the "other guys" helis , but at least it has a V-Bar on it) .

Anyway, the Rave head is also "un-dampened" like the Gaui, and the blade grip control arms are short, and all-in-all after much fiddling with it, the V-Bar doesn't like the Rave head much at all. It didn't fly very good...unpredictable and pitchy.

With the Mini V-Bar on the 450 Pro, the Mikado head makes it fly like you'd expect a V-Bar machine to fly .

I'm trying to put the RJX head on my new 450Pro, and I think I am going to have to cut down the main shaft by 5mm because the swash driver is up too high. Having an adjustable swash driver (like on the Mikado FBL head) is nice because you can orient it just right to eliminate any binding. The RJX head is also quite expensive since you have to buy a lot of additional parts. If I had to do it over again, I think I would buy the Mikado head.Avant RC

Justin no need to cut. The drive just sits that way and works fine actually. Mount it bolting through top hole on that one....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
