What is the best heli for FBL?
What is the best mechanical setup for FBL? I am mainly interested in a 90 size nitro. I own a FBL N9 and it is fantastic but it does have some issues with it's geometry in the linkages. What is the most ideal setup? Maybe a comparison between the Logo line of helis and others is in order.

Not interested in bashing one machine over another. I just want to know the best mechanical setup for FBL out of the box. Please list why a particular heli is best suited for FBL conversion.

I would think each model would have to have it's measurements input into the V-Stabi tool.

Thanks,

Jeff

Any "older" heli that doesnt have high servo->swash ratio, or any heli that has no pushpull levers (if there is any 90 out there at the moment, dont know).

My Stratus which I still got at my summer place is such heli.

The reason why manufactures do that high servo -> swash ratio is to make you feel more connected, rely on you buying good servos, and you get less interaction, more speed in return.

Not good for FBL though.

Hello

As for the 600 size the Logo 600 is hard to beat. Great simple design with a tough gear train.

If you want something a bit different and possibly a little better on crash cost this is my current 600 size heli of choice...

Same great geometry like the logo but with longer servos arms which gives a real feeling sharpness at center. Youll be surprised at the difference[in feel] between a SW based acceleration and a mechanical acceleration.
