There is plenty of evidence of inappropriate voter disqualification among demographics know to be against Bush, Kerry should have fought for a recount because even with the blatent cheating it was still neck in neck.

Missed you this morning Dumbis, you must have been lined up at the bottle depot to get change for the liquor store huh, ya drunk.

All that mattered in the last election was to get the bush side out, which meant no McCain who was groomed by bush's owners to be a direct replacement.

America won that one. Even if you didn't like it.

Be real, you never read the legislation your referring to, you just watch fox or browse republican websites and run with whatever they spoon feed you. You really don't read for yourself do you?

Thank god for coulter or you wouldn't know what to think about anything.

I love when you put up the happy face, it lets us all know whay YOU think YOU are being clever....

Did you look into the help offered to the mentally disabled I suggested yesterday. These programs were pretty much made for invalids like you.

Gotta ask, you ever see someone fly an RC helicopter?

Then Kerry ought to run again. That, I would like to see.

McCain groomed by Bush's people????? McCain hated Bush. Nice try.

why can't Libs admit that it was themselves that loosened the lending regulations for housing that started this whole mess?? That falls to Clinton and later, to some degree, to the Lib majority. I knew people that were working at McDonalds part time and with a no income verification loan, were buying 300k dollar homes on a 10k salary. THAT is where it started and ended. I knew people that re-fi'd their house 2 or 3 times in a one or two year period, so they could buy a new car, or another home for investment purposes. Guess what, they've all lost everything, except for the people that actually had the money to undertake something like that. We fell victim to our own greed here in the states. For that, we can't blame anybody but ourselves. The pols gave us enough rope to hang ourselves. I have no love for Bush, but to blame it all on him is just plain silly. There's enough blame to spread around to all of these clowns.

PS -Smitty, if you say Bush stole the election (which I disagree with), then I think you'd have to point to 2000 elections and the hanging chads, not the 2004 elections.

There is a lot of truth there Fla. We should just blame freddy and fanny and anyone associated with them.......

One huge mistake was the bailout. It was never about bailing out the citizens, it was about bailing out the people responsible.

Now, Bush very clearly pushed that through, Obama would comit political suicide to oppose it after Bush convinced americans it was the only thing that would save them.

BUT, had the banks been forced to deal with it all themselves and there was no bailout for ING and the like, then the rich wouldn't be so rich anymore. It would have closed the gap between the classes like never before.

The bailout was all about letting the rich keep their strangle hold over regular americas.

Seriously, name one middle class person who had their mortgage released so they could be "Bailed Out" I bet nobody knows one person who had debt forgivin. But all the execs that caused the mess didn't miss a single multi million dollar bonus????? Explain how that works???

And you all have guns????? Why??? look at the Greeks right now. there is no way they would get away with stiffing the public like this over there. Americans truly are conditioned to roll over when being screwed.

You need to toss out the whole bunch and not allow another group to come in until you rewrite the rules of accountability.

I can't think of any way it can work so long as the fox's are running the hen house. These people protect thier own.

amazingly, not a single thing you said I could disagree with. You look at ING and the like, that was just a backdoor way to get Goldman straightened out without obviously doing so. There's a lot of ex-Goldman people in the Whitehouse now, and there were plenty in Bush's ear in his time as well. Look at Fanny and Freddy closely. You'll see a lot of Democrat fingerprints on that one.
But at the root, there's not a whole lot of difference between the two anymore, just the way they spin the method they use to screw the middle class.

If Obama was worried about political suicide he wouldn't be pushing the agenda that he is since it goes against every poll in the country. He is so sold out to his remake of the healthcare system for who ever he is really working for that he is totally ignoring the majority that want's nothing to do with his and the Dem's plan.

the only problem is the rules are being written by the people we want to hold accountable...

that's the one fundamentallyi HUGE problem with out system. There is no one to hold Congress accountable. Sure, we can vote out ALL incumbents but they'll just be filled with more politicians.

What we should do is turn the Senate and House into something like Jury Duty. It should be a civic duty where people are randomly selected to serve a year. There would definitely have to be an apptitude test first though!

Pru, Pru, Pru!!!! I've been saying that for YEARS!!! I know many many housewives, mechanics, professionals, etc. that I would trust hands down over ANY scumbag lawyer/politician I've ever met. The laws are written by pols/lawyers in such a manner that the lay can not understand. That's their hold over us. I say get everyday people in there and let them serve. One 4 year term only. Pay 'em well because there will obviously be people that will have to sacrifice greatly to do so, some more than others, but it is doable. You would somehow have to stagger it though as to not have all newb's at the same time.
Pass an IQ test, no felonies, and you go into the pool.
Shoot, I'd love to have my pops for Prez.

Well, as the old saying goes:

"It doesn't matter who you vote for the goverment always gets in."

I see your point SSN but I would counter that what one does during an election and what one does a year before an election might be slightly different no? Consider the length of the typical persons memory and the FACT (as is abundantly clear here on RR) that most people with an interest in politics have already picked a side and will stay there regardless of the antics of the polititions.

You guys are bang on about letting the criminals set the rules for both themselves and us.

Maybe it's time for another revolution to undo all the corruption that snuck back in after the last time you got rid of it.

the problem I see with his tax cut is that it's being paid for with stimulus funds. It's not really a tax cut if it's being paid for with borrowed funds is it?

The good part would be that it'd put stimulus money into the hands of those who could use it.

100 bucks a month for 6 months would do me some good for sure.

A lot more than the 5 bucks a week that obama 'gave' me and then took back at tax time.
